I’ve just discovered Skype!

And now I can speak to the kids and my friends over web via video calls for nowt!

I know, I know, everyone else has been doing it for years but I always was a late starter.

We sat on Saturday evening and chatted to my sister in France and she saw the kids for the first time in 5 years.

I think she was a bit taken aback when she saw how they’d grown and how much their accents had changed!

It was almost like sitting in her kitchen.

So if you’ve not tried it, get Skyping and think of all the money you can save in phone calls and foreign travel!

Hi Stephen,
I’m not sure if you’ve heard about me at all! I’m Judith (Brown) Christie’s daughter, Jessica! Ian has sent some info and photos about the family. Years ago I met Susan and her family and lost touch. I am currently moving too and am starting a new chapter in my life, It’s great very interesting reading about your life and finding out about family relatives. My dad is a historian and specialises in family tree’s, so it has always fascinated me.
Would you pass on my email to Susan please?
I would like to be in touch with everyone!

Best wishes

Jess

Hello, apparently we are related according to uncle Ian Tait…I’m not sure in what way! I’m the second of the four daughters of Elizabeth G Tait…mail me!

I have a skype phone too…(speakingnvcfreely), although I only use it by arrangement. I once took part in a transatlantic conference call with people from Germany, UK and the States – that works really well.

best wishes
Sophie

Good evening – to both of you!
I’m sure with a drawing of a family tree I’d be able to work out all the connections from my fathers side of the family. My father, being particularly un-communicative over the years on any background regarding his family – probably as the result of a major family fall out, we kids seem to have grown up with not many cousins, aunties, uncles or any idea of our larger family on the Tait side. (Or maybe I was just too young and really didn’t give it much thought.) But
I vaguely remember a girl called Sophie, her sister and a brother? meeting them at Lucas’ for ice -cream one day.
So if anyone can’t paint the family tree for me, I’d be grateful!
I haven’t filled in my diary for a while as life has been hectic for the last few months but I still update the family photos on the link on the side panel regularly.
If you have a facebook or a direct email address let me know and we can keep in touch.
Even if it is to fill in the gaps!
Best Wishes
Stephen

Hi Stephen (and Jess!)
My direct email: sophie@goldleafdesigns.co.uk; jessica – jessica is tamberlaine@hotmail.co.uk;

Are you Stephen, brother of Susan and Alistair?
If so, yes, I’m the Sophie who you met at Lucas – I was with Judith only, I think (our other two sisters are Annabel and Una). We had arranged to meet the following day again at Lucas…but then were told we weren’t allowed to!!! – (or you weren’t I’m not sure!) and were very sad about that and hung around the cafe for an hour or so in case you turned up!!. I also went to Grandpa Tait’s funeral, with Elizabeth (mum) and Graham (Dad) and will have met you there.

What is your direct email address?

love
Sophie
