Well we finally paid for the new Sydney Hoose and took the keys last week.
We can’t move in until July as all the kids are still in School in Brisbane. They’ll come down during the Winter break but until then, Tee is flying up and down occasionally to measure up for structural and cosmetic changes while I cry in my beer at the cost of these shenanigans.
Joshua, now 14 has decided he doesn’t want to come to Sydney as he wants to stay with his mates and finish his schooling in Brisbane. He absolutely adores the place and has changed into the most amazing young man since moving here. He plays in the school pipe band, plays rugby, rows for the school and is getting great grades. Just the sort of kid we used to beat-up in Musselburgh. However, after much angst and deliberation we’ve decided to let him board for the next couple of years.
Tee is wailing and nashing teeth, the siblings are delighted as he’s the big, bad brother who bosses them around and I’m just trying to cope with the shock of having just bought a 4 bedroomed house when I could have got a smaller one!
Im not worrying too much at the moment on the financial front as I’m living in the city centre eating eggs on toast - which is saving some cash but I’m now seriously becoming constipated! Add in the pressurised environment of frequent flying and you have some dramatic bowel eruptions on a Sunday. Much to the anoyance of the rest of the family!

Comment by Lord Trevallion May 29, 2007 @ 9:38 amGood news about finding a new place to stay. Re. the dead lawn, why dont you go for the artificial option? We’ve got a fake lawn called No Mow all round the house here in Newcastle, it’s great. Wee bit expensive, but doesn’t need water, won’t die, or grow, or get weedy or muddy. Lovely jubbly!
